^- - ^ Okay, yes: the specs are a bit basic compared to my old broken one, travel is a modest 2 1/2" instead of an impressive 1 2/3'-
^ - -^ But this one is new, works, and will never be lent to someone without a security deposit, CC hold, and competence exam.

Spoiler:

^ > < ^ Never! (Points accusingly at girl who thought it was clever to back off the set screw so that it would snap off when bit snagged the work piece, instead of using an appropriate bit and not ruining the pulley, shafts, belt motor, and housing.)
^ >o< ^ Never! (With the ruined belt in hand menaces her machinist BF who borrowed the press for her and didn't tell me because he did not trust her not to be 'clever' with his own.)

^ ^ ^ ^ I'm so happy I can't decide what to make first with it.
