Re: GARAGESALES 2008-20XX!
I went to the goodwill again.
I got a very nice condition Channel Master 8 track player for $10. When I plugged it in to the goodwill's outlet, nothing happened, but I bought it any way.
Turned out that the 35 year old belt ha deteriorated into tar-like goop. Took forever to clean up (Still can't get it off of my hands) but I replaced the belt and it works better than expected. The head is still perfectly aligned, so it doesn't slip to other tracks while playing. Only one of the track lights work, but that is a simple fix since the bulbs are just standard screw in flashlight bulbs.
Oh, and I also got a near mint DMG and case for it. The screen bezel thing has NO scratches on it, which I must say is very good for being over 20 years old now. No lines or dead pixels, either. I got this for $10 as well.

Re: GARAGESALES 2008-20XX!
I got a very odd sj3 today at the salvation army for $5
unlike others, it does not have built in games, however, there is this bulky plastic thing that is snapped over the cartridge slot. pop that off and there is a pirate famicart pcb in the slot. so instead of buit in games, you have this hidden game cart instead.
I think this is actually a newer sj3. It seems like the plastic is better made than others I have seen. It may have decent compatability too because paperboy is on the pirate cart and it plays just fine. I'll have to check with a real paperboy cart though.

sweet, what games?nevermind1534 wrote:Yellow Gameboy Play it Loud with original case, 5 games, and cleaning kit: $6.97
I work at goodwill. I have for about a month. I haven't seen anything big yet, just a few random games here and there. a few random CIB nes games, battletoads for NES the other day. Advanced D&D (the actual board game, not a video game) for $2. a CIB blue gameboy pocket with tetris for $10.
Today, a CIB TI-99 computer came in, with a box of games and controllers and the speech synthesizer. Sadly, the manager swiped it and is going to price it by "Ebay standards"

Re: GARAGESALES 2008-20XX!
that was all a pretty good deal.
I'm going to an auction selling a bunch of records, tapes, and stereo equipment. I hope I find some nice stuff in it all.
