Yeah, but it was broken then. "I got a free broken computer" is not as fun as posting it now.

I got a free 14" Powerbook G3 (400mhz, 320mb RAM, DVD-ROM). No wireless card, its battery does not hold a charge, I don't have the original power cable, and it only works with my "universal" laptop power adapter when it's pluged into a car. Or when I use my 12v AC-DC converter (thx Triton) with a lousy connection that disconnects randomsly for no reason and shuts off the computer. The LCD backlight goes off when I use the DVD-ROM drive. But hey, it was free.

Picked up a copy of "R-Types" for the PlayStation in excellent condition from a pawn shop today for five bucks! Cheaper than buying it from the PlayStation Store, at any rate.

I found an illuminated keyboard fr $10, along with a fiber optic flower lamp, not shown. I like lights.
There was so little room for the mouse I moved it up onto the desk, and I'm having a tough time finding the drivers for the hotkeys.

Re: GARAGESALES 2008-2009!
I got a 350w electric scooter for $15 from the thrift store the other day. It is one of the fancier cheap ones, not like the Razors (looks like one of these). Didn't come with keys, but that is no longer a problem . The batteries were all in sorry shape at about 5.5v each (should be 12v), but they seem to be doing well as I charge them. The front fork is all screwed up, so I'm thinking of swapping the guts to a bike or making a go kart sort of thing.

Re: GARAGESALES 2008-2009!
So of you may remember back when I got a DS Lite from Gameboyfixer77.
Well I got another DS Lite today. This one to be exact: http://westky.craigslist.org/ele/1257507966.html
(It's not the town where I live. So no finding out where nightwheel lives today folks )
It's a White DS Lite. I didn't pay $20 for though. Traded Super Mario Sluggers for it. I got the game for $5 from a yard sale. And really didn't care for it. So his son got a (sorta) new Wii game and I got the DS. So basically this DS cost me $5. And it was cool to see the guy's son have the smile on his face about his new Wii game.
Anways........ this DS has issues too. More than my other DS Lite. It's got a broken right hinge. Non working R shoulder button button. The Touchscreen has some problems. And the hinge was super glued in the open position. From what I could gather from the guy. It sounds like his son dropped the DS more than once. The shoulder button stopped working before the hinge broke. But at least this DS can charge batteries unlike my other one. So for now, it my battery charger.
I removed most of the glue already. So I could close the lid and keep from breaking the hinge any more that it was when I got it. And I have it taped shut to keep it from opening back up for now.
Here's a picture of the DS (after I removed most of the glue, sorry):
Still, not bad for basically $5

Re: GARAGESALES 2008-2009!
wow cool! only $5
I found an arcade cabinet that is interchangeable between some mario and donkey kong game on craigslist for $400 but I'd never use it.
Also picked up an xbox with a stuck dvd tray for $20 and fixed it in about 10 minutes. It also came with the dvd remote dongle but not the actual remote part just the receiver.

Re: GARAGESALES 2008-2009!
that's nothing. My friend 's brother ripped the top half off of his DS and my friends sold the whole DS to me for $5 and a pack of sticky notes so he could make flip books.
rest in peace, Ronnie James Dio! \m/
