- A front-loading Panasonic 3DO with a controller and 20 games. Supposedly I'll also be getting a top-loading model and a six-button controller at no additional charge if the guy can find them.
- A model one Sega Saturn with two model one controllers and a composite video cable. Supposedly I'll also be getting a copy of "Super Puzzle Fighter II" free if the guy can find the disc to go with the case.
- Two Virtual Boys, each with a copy of "Mario Tennis." One Virtual Boy is complete; the other one is missing a controller, battery pack, and the thing that goes over your face to block light out. Once again, if he can find them, I'll be getting the missing components free. I also got a wall adapter so I don't have to use batteries.
- A Casio pocket TV with an LCD screen. I just noticed it among the stuff and asked if he was willing to sell it, and he said to just take it.

Re: GARAGESALES 2008-2009!
I guess that means I got a good deal, then?
Either way, I feel bad for the guy who was supposed to be looking at what was for sale after me, especially if he was interested in the 3DO stuff.

I could have bought a Game Gear at a thrift store for $16, but it said there was no sound and I didn't really want it. I thought about buying it to trade/sell but I don't think it's worth much.

$16 is high, although the speaker thing isn't much of an issue (they are almost all broken by this point, but the headphones usually still work).XCVG wrote:I could have bought a Game Gear at a thrift store for $16, but it said there was no sound and I didn't really want it. I bought one at a garage sale two summers ago for $5, I think. Maybe $6. Anyway, did it have the battery doors? I have yet to see one that still had the original battery doors... that'd probably double the price...
Dunno what the best find I had last summer... the garage sales were pretty lame.

I got my copy of that and SSB at Gamestop when they were clearing out their N64 inventory, so I got those fairly cheap.XCVG wrote:I picked up Super Mario 64 at my local pawn shop for $25. It came with a free N64 power brick too!
