Zenith Stereo (Any info?)

Over at a local pawn/overlypriced shop, I found something interesting:

They want $30 for it. No needle. Stereo works in it. Has tape in/out on the back, and external speaker outputs. The only other one I could find was on ebay for $300  No model # or make, but the way I'm seeing Zenith did things, was a lot of "custom order stuff"? Where they would use similar parts in different cases?

What do yall think? I'm pretty sure I'm gonna go buy it after class today.

Holy cow! I used to have one of those! It's a pretty nice unit really. I remember right, that beast has tubes in it :)

Tho, you might have to replace the speakers..as I blew the speakers out shortly after receiving the one I had lol.

tubes you say? :P I hope so. Think it'll be tough to find a needle for it? I'm not sure the internal speakers are much of an issue, considering the wide number of sets of speakers I've got. So you think its worth the $30?

People horde the crap out of things like that. I had a friend who owned an old Catoline (I don't remember the spelling of it, it's the name of an old kind of plastic) Radio, which he aranged an FM Transmitter, added 1/4 inch jack, Plus a KaossPadto top it off...

Scratching or sampling the sound of space and time.
