Well now that there's going to be a 3DS, I would imagine that Apple would want the iPod Touch to also have similar 3D capabilities since they're marketing the iPod Touch for gaming.

(Even though I enjoy a number of games on my Touch, I wouldn't consider the games to be of the same level as ones on the DS, but I know some people who were considering getting a PSP or DS that didn't bother getting one after grabbing an iPod Touch.)

Fight MS Paint abominations! If you don't have a camera, go here, and pick something 3 megapixels or higher.

Moved.

I expected they would release a 3D iPod Touch, but good to hear confirmation. Still no cure for a lack of gaming controls, though.

I'm eagerly awaiting the D-pad gaming case. I mean, if they can have this, they can probably make a gaming pad:

(it says for iPad but a good 90% of the time these kinds of accessories are compatible with the Touch/iPhone as well)

that would make less sense for the Ipod, the Pad however would give it at least some thing to brag about. I just see the I pod generally to small and I could see them asking for way more if it was on the I pad. there are ways really well known ways to track a finger in 3d with just a web cam. hey give the I pad some thing better to do than just dick about. If your reading apple just give the I pad some thing to do besides just dicking about.

Bastards! :x

I'm going to have to start publishing my old research now, before some jackass patents the concept of an orbital turret.

They're using it on an LCD, so, you're out of luck with the 3DS. Additionally, your methodology does not scale well beyond personal screens.

Apples' pixel-sized domes are far different from the vertical stripes of a lenticular lens setup, and could possibly scale to a family size TV, if the domes are the right shape.
