cool things to see/do in vegas?

Post by Triton » Sat Sep 04, 2010 10:08 pm

Basically i am going to las vegas with a friend of mine for his 21st birthday (i am already 21) and we already have quite a few things lined up to check out while we are in vegas but i would LOVE to get some ideas and suggestions for stuff to check out while we are there, the cheaper the better and of course any gaming/anime related stuff would be a big plus. things like thrift shops, military surplus and that sort of thing too

TL;DR what stuff should we do in vegas? give me your suggestions

Downtown LV has the largest TV screen in the world! They do visual shows on it at night. I can't help you were it is only that I saw them talk about it on the History Channel. But that would be worth checking out.

If you're 21, I would say go see the hotel that is shaped as a pyramid. It's not as big as the great pyramid of Giza, but the sphinx is 125% the size of the original. Not something everyone would be into but cool to look at if you're in the area.

Have fun.

P.S. Prostitution is illegal in the Clarkston county, which is where LV is. You could get caught and that would be a vary bad memory.

Go to every casino. Not the actual casino but the areas around them. They all are truly works of art. You should spend an entire day looking around at them.
Like the Bellagio Fountain, the Mirage Volcano eruption, Gondola Ride at the Venetian, Imperial Palace Auto Collection, etc.

Go to the Top of the World spinning restaurant at the Stratosphere. Very unique and fun. While there go to the top and do the Big Shot :)

Go to the mini Eiffel Tower.

Treasure Island Battleship show is fun.

CSI:The Experience at the MGM Grand Las Vegas is interesting. Solve a crime.

There is a nice Titanic Artifact Museum at the Luxor.

Oh man there is just to much to do........ Have Fun !!!!!

YES. :D

If some guy selling them a plain old 4-switch woodgrain Atari 2600 can get on the show...

I've been to Vegas a few times. If you are looking for a cheap decent steak($7) or BBQ chicken($8) I recommend Ellis Island. It's off the strip, I think on Koval. They also brew their own beer. Near you, New York New York has a game room up near where you get on the roller coaster. If you want a Margarita head over to Cabo Wabo (Sammy Hagar's place) near Planet Hollywood or try Margaritaville. They both have good food also.

If you go downtown I would recommend sticking around to watch the Fremont Street Experience.

Man I wish I was there right now! lol
