Things that remind you of a game

Post by skeneegee » Tue Aug 24, 2010 4:14 pm

It seems like every time I see a watermelon, I think of Bangai-O. I saw a watermelon in Katamari and it made me think of Bangai-O.

Does anyone else have a similar situation?

When I see a two long parallel curved power lines between towers askew of perpendicular I think "There's that anti-aliasing bug again; at the point where the lines 'cross' (from my perspecitve.)"

When I hear someone say "Very well", I think of a Heavy saying it.

^ · · ^ Eh? what game is that? ... and why does it lead to the TP needing a change?

Well you could say Conker's bad fur day,....

Generally the gaming is so ingrained from 25 years of thumb exercising that even the most mundane tasks make me think I am still there in front of the tv. I mean think about it.

Point and click adventure: go into inventory, select TP, drag out item, drop onto desired spot.

FPS: toggle to m1a1 TP launcher, line up target, boom head shot.

Survival horror: pick up random objects and use them when the situation calls for it before the zombies knock the door down.

QTE: Hit A to grab TP, Hit B to remove empty roll, hit A again to grab before the spindle hits the floor.

Fighting: Back, down, back, left, Punch, block, down = TP friendship

RPG: After boss battle with large brown demon, use the special item that Cid gave you to heal your party and leave the cave. Dont ask me about the limit break....
