I've been waiting for this! I'm just not 100% sure if I should go, the tickets are $44, and well...
I've wanted to go to a maker fair since I saw the Systm 2006 Maker Fair San Fransisco. If I can make it there, I be sure to take pictures and add them to Facebook or photobucket and share.

By the way, if any members are sure to be going, leave me a PM, we can see about meeting up.

I'll be there as an exhibitor with my robotics team (me and one other person did almost the whole thing).

Nope. No job, no money, no travel. I might go to NEWW this year because it's only about a 3 hour round trip.

Oh hey 10,000 posts. Image
The whole "delete an old 'closerized' post every time I make a new post to keep my count at 9999" shtick was getting annoying.

Well I'm charging my camcorders, batteries for camera, and I'll see about getting gas in my car (only 1/4 tank left). I'm going to see about trying to go, tickets weren't as bad as I thought, and I can bring a backpack so I'll be nice and comfortable carrying around everything. So maybe I'll see nevermind1534 there. If you want let me know what your exhibit is titled and I'll keep and eye out.

And bic, if you want you can go into the phpBB settings and make 9999 the max. post count. Then you just need to hope that you programmed it right and the counter stopped, not the ability to post at 9999.

The maker faire today was great; I also saw sparkfist there and gave him one of my complimentary tickets. You should see pictures and video from him and myself (not in this thread) soon.

I think we are still waiting for him to post videos from MGC 2008 so I wouldn't hold your breath ;)

Your kind words are so welcome wallydawg. I'm going to get the pictures posted tomorrow in the morning. I'm hoping to get to pulling the video off Money and Tuesday. Unfortunetly I'm suck using WMM, as I can't find a good reliable video editor under Linux.

Anyways. I'll try to also get the video from MGC as well too.

P.S. Yes the Maker Fair was sweet, far more fun then I was expecting and more involved then I had ever hoped.
