Re: Nintendo 3Ds
We need to start citing sources now. As far as I'm concerned nothing is official.
All I've heard is that it's going to be launched around march next year.

Re: Nintendo 3Ds
Price and release date will be announced tomorrow.
I'm betting on a release of $249 on March 20, which just so happens to be a week before MGC.

Maybe the Pandora will finally make an appearance as well since it's finally out now.

Given my track record of MGC time period money blowing, I might have a 3DS for everyone to toy withwallydawg wrote:Hopefully someone brings one lol.eagle5953 wrote:Price and release date will be announced tomorrow.

Although, this year I don't plan on burning as much, so it's iffy....

Re: Nintendo 3Ds
I'd love to play with the 3DS, but even moreso the Pandora, as it's unlikely that I'd see one in the wild anywhere but MGC.Metallica Man X wrote:Given my track record of MGC time period money blowing, I might have a 3DS for everyone to toy withwallydawg wrote:Hopefully someone brings one lol.eagle5953 wrote:Price and release date will be announced tomorrow.

Sunday, March 27th Release date, aka MGC day 2. I guess the Saturday after-party will be a campout lineup outside the mall.

That line will probably be quite long by the time the saturday after party even begins lol. Doubt I'll get one then haha.

Re: Nintendo 3Ds
I'm leaning towards preordering. Not wasting good MGC time standing in a line.

Official site is up: http://www.nintendo.com/3ds/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I'm looking forward to DOA:Dimensions. If it's a launch title, I'll preorder if I have the money then.
I'm not looking forward to how potentially locked against homebrew this device could be. Just passing another 3DS on the street could, potentially, force a firmware update, and remove non-sanctioned channels. Quite a bit of open-source software would be great to have on the 3DS, and having 3D games be auto-stereoscopic would make games like the Quake series (all of which have stereoscopic support) seem almost new again. Hopefully, either Nintendo will be lax against it, or hackers can stay that far ahead. Hmm... Or they could have an App-Store/Android Market like openess to their Nintendo eShop, but you can bet old console emulators with un-relicensed roms would be locked out.

Re: Nintendo 3Ds
I'm picking up one to see if the 3d works, and to play Ocarina of time again.
