Re: Nintendo 3Ds
I saw that it has StarFox. I must get this I'm actually interested in the DS again. I sold mine a few years ago because I got bored with it. I'm digging the "shroom stick" as I've seen people refer to it. Plus you can take your own (tiny) 3D pictures with it. I wonder if it will let you upload your pictures or if you can only display them on the built in screen?

Re: Nintendo 3Ds
@Brian: Perhaps you can transfer them via SD card to others' 3DSes.
If they can keep the price under $200, I'm probably a first-day buyer. I'm hoping to camp out in front of the store to get it, too; haven't gotten to do that since the Wii, and that was a really good time. A friend of mine is also planning on camping too.
Did you see how it will automatically download updates, even while asleep? That really jumped out at me - they are serious about piracy this time.

Re: Nintendo 3Ds
They should release Virtual Boy games on the Shop channel on this. That would be awesome.

That's a great idea!smitty wrote:They should release Virtual Boy games on the Shop channel on this. That would be awesome.
The telescopic stylus sounds like a good idea, so it can be a little bigger, but not take up the space. Can't wait for dealextreme to start carrying replacement 'shroomsticks so we can put them into portables! (they're calling it a "Slide Pad")
Re: Nintendo 3Ds
Slide Pad is such a dumb name for it. I just call it a nub.
Re: Nintendo 3Ds
Looks very neat. I'm betting this will make 3D photography gain in popularity quite a bit, as having a plain eye viewer that is mass produced will help in showing other people you photos, as well being a cheap 3D camera in itself. I'm guessing that it uses a series of very thin lenticular lens to separate the views between the two eyes, which is why it has an adjustment slider. In the Nintendogs 2nd screen shot, you can actually see the slices of the two views. It won't be replacing the larger TV's 3D technology as it can't be viewed very far off center, but in a handheld, it should work quite well.
If I have the money at the time it's released, I'll probably pick one up.
