Ditto.
a mod should pollerize this...
With a dead mule option!
Don't forget carrier pigeons!

I use anything but UPS if I have a choice. Really. Anything. Potentially even just driving out of my way to get it.

USPS actually hasn't had any federal funding since the '80s, so I wouldn't exactly say they're socialist shipping, especially seeing as they don't charge different rates to people with different incomes.

It's kind of a funny situation. They're not funded by the government, but more like a self sustaining part of the government. The postal service's heads are appointed by the President himself, so I'm not really sure how that works.

yeah lol

pretty much all they get from that is the mailbox monopoly and federal crimes covering mail fraud, requiring that businesses send non time-sensitive documents with USPS, etc.. They're the only part of government that isn't exempt from fines.

I have had no huge issues with UPS. I use whatever shipping service is cheapest/fastest if time-sensitive.

I use fedex regularly, and their service is usually excellent.

However, they slapped me with a $100 customs bill once when I accidentally got digikey from America. My friend later told me he got away with not paying his though.

Most if not everytime I import/recieve something from USA via FedEx I get Customs bill like $40, however, when I use other carriers I don't pay for customs so FedEx is on my BLACK LIST!!!!

I know that UPS is also supposed to charge "agent" and "Broker" fees. The only way to get around those is to have it shipped with the postal service. If that's not have an option, have it shipped to somebody close to the company, then have them forward the package.
