DS Flashcart Question

Post by avert1 » Mon Apr 12, 2010 4:20 pm

Well guys, I've recently started looking into the wonders of the DS flashcart. However, it seems that there are plenty of "fakes" out there as well, so my question to you is this: What's a decent sight to buy a legit, stable and cheap DS flashcart?

considering flash carts can't be legally sold in stores, i don't think you'll have much luck with that. you might try http://electrobee.com, i hear it's a good place, and it's all legit stuff.

I have a CycloDS Evolution; it works beautifully, but is a tad expensive. I've heard EdgeCard is a cheap alternative, however.

I love my R4 SDHC. Get the bare bones one from DealExtreme for $12.

Go to dealextreme. They have the best price I've seen so far. I would suggest, however, that you buy the microsdhc card from a local supplier, such as newegg.

I don't like buying off dealextreme for any modding stuff or any flash memory because a lot of the time it seems to be fake. :?

But for knives, lighters, flash lights, lasers it's awesome.

yeah, that's why I said to get the memory card from someplace like newegg. The flash cart from them is fine, though.

EdgeCarts usually end up doing black screens within the next three weeks that you buy it because of a curruption issue. CycloDS is actually the best in compatibility and Mods. You Pay for quality folks :P As for the buying issue, hxxp://jandaman.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; would be a great alternative. Cheapest for Cyclo dev kit and a bunch of other adapters. CycloDS is the only one that is fully compatible with GBA games through a slot 2 device.

What happened to the R4? I remember hearing Nintendo was going to take them on directly. Did that ever happen?
