Ants in bathroom

Post by aceboy44 » Sun Apr 04, 2010 7:51 am

Ok last time I asked about how to kill mosquitos. This time I'm having issues with ANTS. How do you get rid of ants in the bathroom?

No! I don't want the spray solution because I tried it and it's ineffective. Which ant bait do you recommend for me?

this just started happening in my apartment too. you can put a few drops of syrup or something in a few random corners of the bathroom and usually they'll form a trail to it and you can see where they're coming from. then figure out a way to seal the hole. I hope that helps.

spray works fine for me. they still come, but the ones that do eventually die.

spray works for me to kill individual ants (gasoline and alcohol works well too), but for killing colonies, I usually just go to the store and buy the whatever ant traps look good (I usually get the see-through dual bait ones).

You've got a point there. I know that the trap (by trap, I mean bait) I linked to is good for the small sweet ants, but I'm don't know how well it works with the big ants.

make a little pile of borax mule team washer detergent, the powder stuff that comes in a box. They'll carry it back to their nest (or whatever it's called) and die from it.
SNESP WIP
Case - 50%
acquired parts - 90%
assembly - 0%

Does it have to be "borax" brand or can be any washing powder from any brand?

I heard if you mix it with honey ants will take it back to colony and they will fade away but what exactly is borax? A brand name for a cloths washing powder or the powder for the cloths washing is called borax?

P.S: I did try Terro liquid ants bait but it didn't work.

it's the brand name
http://www.amazon.com/Dial-Corp-00368-M ... B000R4LONQ" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

either borax did the trick for me, or the ants went away because it got too cold. I'm not really sure which.

I don't know if other detergents will work.

Sorry but we don't have that in Kuwait, and I'm not going to pay for international shipping on something I didn't try before but thanks for the info though :)

Any other solutions guys?

T-Rex urine. It scares some of the smaller ones away, but attracts one really big one
