Brr! It's cold here!!!

We're getting about six inches of snow as I type here in Michigan. Cold? yeah, but that's expected, it's winter for crying out loud. I do feel sorry for some of you people on the East Coast. Reason being that many of you in the southern states are not used to it, and well you're hurtled up in your houses with a weeks worth of groceries and there's an ungodly amount of four inches on the ground.

But hey as we like to say there.

97% of people say, "Oh crap!" when they hit a patch of ice. The other 3% are from Michigan and say, "Hold my beer and watch this."

Please replace beer with milk if you are under 18 years old.

Anyways, I'm sure most of you will survive the cold, other may only loose a toe or two.

Honestly, I think Vermont and Michigan are the same state with different accents. I know so many people that are from Michigan that live here now, and they don't really feel too much of a difference. We're both happy, winter-hardy people!

So, for the last couple days the Weather Channel and all the local news channels were predicting feet of snow. All the school districts in the area canceled yesterday. Every store was sold out of milk and bread. People stocked up on food, ice melt, and plastic snow shovels. It was supposed to be the Nor' Easter of the decade*. And how much snow did we actually get?

Three quarters of an inch. Seriously, I can still see grass poking through in the front yard. All the snow on our roof is already melted away.

* Remember, 2010 started a new decade : P

Its not massively cold over here (just hovering around freezing at the mo), but i have single glazed windows and dont have central heating so im always cold
