I was just making a joke... :P

I agree though, I don't think it is worth it without flash support.

Yeah...

I mean, $30 a month unlimited data is amazing, imagine if you could have full Hulu support, all those anime streaming sites, Grooveshark for music, etc. It would be the near perfect device for just watching online streaming video on that nice IPS display.

The thing is, if the iPad/Phone/Touch supported Flash, any Joe Schmoe with the Flash trial and web hosting could make a functional app with local storage and possibly camera support (depending on what APIs Flash would be allowed to utilize). Never mind Hulu, Crackle, SlashControl, and FanCast horning in on iTunes's turf. There could be limitless games, unlicensed Mario ripoffs, fart apps, and porn apps and Apple couldn't do anything about it. That's exactly what they don't want, for some reason.

iWish someone would get a Wacom Cintiq, cram in the motherboard from an HP Mini 311 (Nvidia Ion), and Hackintosh it. That's what the iPad should have been. (Granted the Cintiq doesn't have multitouch, but you get where I'm going with this.)

They most likely will cap it a 5gigs like they do with the iPhone plans.

Hailrazer, they said in the keynote that it would be 250 mb for $15, unlimited for $30.

Its not flash so much, I think, but rather control. Apple wants to control the market and have people use their appstore and buy iTunes movies, music etc.

A Cintiq with Ion and OS X? Yeah, $1500 for a bulky device with like 1/2 hr battery life. Plus Cintiq is really a niche product, you don't really see them flying off of shelves.
But full on OS X in a tablet? I'd snap it up in a minute if it had decent battery life.

Yep they all say "unlimited" but they cap at 5gigs. ALL OF THEM.....

I doubt this will be different.

Okay, the Cintiq was a bad example then. I meant a 10-11", 1024x600 widescreen with multitouch and some pressure sensitivity (to set it apart a bit and make it useful for drawing, plus Wacom-enabled tablet PCs are awesome; Gateway makes/made a couple).

They can cram it in the Modbook, they could theoretically do it with this.

If you would have read the link, you send them a macbook and they add a touchscreen and casemod it for $700.

Could do that myself for $200 lol.

 I saw it was a macbook, but the sending part in didn't register in my head.

I have an HP Mini 311, and it is pretty badass.
The biggest problem with this thing is that it uses such a closed OS.
If this thing utilized Android, it could potentially be pretty awesome.

I can forsee in the future that this thing will be hacked and will be able to run Angstrom, Xubuntu ARM, or Android.

If you want openness, whats better than linux? Hell I've seen Mini 311 hackintoshes. But it is a beast. It can even run WOW and Call of Duty 4. For a $400 netbook, thats incredible IMO.
