Xbox emulator on Xbox 360

Post by bryan5 » Wed Sep 30, 2009 1:40 pm

Since Mircrosoft has stopped with backwards compatability for the XBOX 360, does anyone know of an XBOX emulator for the 360?

Thanks

Bryan

No. You can't run homebrew code on XBox360,(*) so consequently you can't run an emulator on it.

(*) Truth with modification. Under certain circumstances (Old X360 with one of two vulnerable firmwares) together with a modchip and a modified version of the game Kingkong you can launch unsigned code. However, this hack is so obscure that almost nobody has bothered to write software for it.

Seriously when did this happen?
A truly wise man can entertain a thought without accepting it. A fool cannot withhold past judgments but instead closes his mine to new possibilities. Someone who wants to innovate simply needs to forget what everyone says isn't possible.

I think he means they stopped making more games compatible. Everything that was already compatible still is.

I don't see why you would want to take this upon yourself because their existing library is incredibly huge in contrast to existing Xbox PC emulators. Also, there has been almost no homebrew code written for the 360 so you just as well might spend $40 for a used system at your nearest GameStop and have full compatibility.
