Crank 2 had a 9.2 on imdb the first few days of its release.

I hear it was fantastic from some close friends. I haven't seen it personally yet, but I plan on it.

Not just "okay" like today's movies, right? Like, certified fresh like the matrix, star wars 4, and night of the living dead in their respective times?

It was EPIC! Easily the best movie I've seen in awhile

Yeah, just got back. I don't think it'll have the staying power of Star Wars or the like, but it was definitely a solid movie. Certainly not thrown together or trying to cash in on the summer movie crowd.

I would absolutely stick it on the shelf next to The Matrix. It was well worth the time and worth watching many more times.

I saw it Friday and thought it was boring.

Nothing to it , no substance and no reason to see it twice.

IMO it should have stayed a short film.

Flaws :
1.No reason to like the character or care about what happens to him.
2.Plot holes....really to many to name without spoiling, but if you've seen it c'mon, the fuel ..20 years and it was there all along in their parts? It was fuel and it caused what happened to happen to the main character. They had it and yet landed on earth instead of go home. Like I said plot holes.
3. Better weapons , stronger aliens, yet they were pushed around by puny humans. And don't say they just didn't know how to fight. If they had and could build such weapons they were obviously a fighting species.

And on and on.

Yes it was different than the mainstream movies, but it was boring and the ending leaved much to be desired.

The ending was kind of dissapointing, but nonetheless, the aliens were a peaceful race. Yes they had powerful weapons, but they were more concerned with getting their cat food. =P

I don't know if they were holes as much as just an intentional lack of information. I compare it to Cloverfield where you learn next to nothing about the monster. My only gripe. They were such compelling aliens that I really wanted to know more about them.

They seemed to leave enough open at the end to make another movie.

I think they could have put in a lot more background for the aliens and taken most of the cat food dealings and ritual murder and cannibalism out. Plus I agree that the main character didn't really get enough character development.

Overall I think the concept was really good, very original.
