Stephen King's It counts if you're into horror. Mighty Ducks... not so much.

The other night, I saw The Departed. It was actually a really good movie. It got me feeling angry about the events that were happening, and a wonderful sense of justice at the end. It was messed up, but still coherent enough to follow easily. It was good entertainment.

Donnie Darko I've seen so many times. It's great because it doesn't make any sense.

any Stanley Kubrick film
the original transformers animated movie
The African Queen (Humphrey Bogart and Cathrine Hepburn, need i say more?)
the aviator
the green mile
shawshank redemption (AMAZING)
O' Brother where art thou
Event Horizon (best scifi horror movie i have seen just about)
any hayao miyazaki film
Gattica
A Scanner Darkly
waking life (both it and scanner darkly are rotoscoped and very cool)
Heima (sigur ros doccumentary, amazing music and its BEAUTIFUL)
The Terminal
The Dark Knight
most of the pixar films are fantastic

not a movie but episode 5 of cowboy bebop "Ballad of fallen angels" has higher production value and artistry than most hollywood movies now and you should watch it, or better yet watch all of cowboy bebop, even if you hate anime its worth watching!

Ballad of Fallen Angels is amazing! Someone tried getting me to watch Cowboy Bebop a while back and I only got through four episodes before losing interest. I decided to try again a while later and made it to the fifth. At that point I was sucked in and there was no turning back. I'm not an anime fan, but everyone owes it to themselves to watch that show.
