You're going to purposely break your DS? If you don't care for it, at least give it to one of your friends...
Who's your friend?!<wink!>

Source? I am pretty damn hip to the DS scene, and I know nothing of this.

A rumor going around was the people who make action replay were going to make one and it would be out in may. Though, that just turned out to be a cheating device.

What is everyone so paranoid about? Even if it doesn't make GB and GBC games work, it isn't going to make the DS suddenly quit working altogether. You act like taking a system apart means it will never work again.

Well, sure. I've done lots of stuff to IC's without them dying. I don't see the big deal. Is the DS super-extra sensitive to modification or what?

I have no Idea why you guys discurage him from making the mod... if it fails It only proves it wont work, if it works (no chance it will) we have some crazy mod to try out.

PS get a video of it too (video can be sent to Cennar@gmail.com subject title "I could have just played pokemon on my SP")

No, any logic IC is extremely sensitive, especially when shorting it.

God damn, it's like hitting your head into a brick wall around here: it can't work because the DS lacks the necessary hardware. Read the article I posted to, and forget about it. Let me repeat that one more time for the slower among you: IT WON'T WORK, IT CANNOT WORK, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR IT TO WORK. Jesus Christ.
