So the Nintendo DSi thread is getting really derailed and isn't very focused, so let's make a strict Q&A thread. Ask me anything about the North American DSi that you want to know. I'd prefer you just keep it to questions, and no mindless posts that are offtopic please :roll:

How does it "feel?" Like the DS phat was sturdy feeling, and the DS lite was cheapo chineese plastic. And how are the controls? Do they feel mushy and delicious or kinda stiff and rigid.

is it any better than previous ds's? any improvements you notice on first caress?

The case feels like an IBM thinkpad, very sturdy and nice.

The controls are like the DS phat, kind of clicky and kind of buttony.

Noticed improvements:

Bigger screens
Better audio
Change brightness with games running
Faster boot
You can insert game cards while it is on (hotswap)

For the internet, the free web browser is actually quite good. Loading times aren't fantastic, but it's comparable to the Wii's browser. Many sites I tried look fine, and browsing is pretty nice. The 802.11g upgrade really shows here. The DSi store works fantastically; it is just like the wii store.

Does it really have little LED lights and a fake plastic mirror when you open it? If so, are these LED's white and suitable for modding?

Also, not to sound like Al Gore, but how wasteful does "electrified packaging" seem?

From what I have seen, I think those light up boxes were only for the press units. :(

The phat can do WEP too... It just can't do WPA.
