Hi, um, I need a water pump for a '63 Corvair...
That's a great prank to play on the parts noobs.

Another one is an alternator for a 1983 Chevrolet Corvette.

I've got another from my Wal-Mart days:

Me: "Usually you can find that kind of information on the internet." (don't remember what)
Older lady: "Oh, I don't have the internet. I don't even have a computer."
Me: "Oh, ok..."
Older lady, interrupting: "I don't want to get any of those diseases I've heard about."

As I assumed she was talking about viruses, I just let it roll rather than try to explain that one. It wouldn't have helped.

*shakes head*

Even if he did, he's still an absolute moron. He deserved to buy a Wii. And he deserved not being able to play it.

I laughed so hard I fell out of my chair.
I haven't been here in awhile, and looking back it's one of the worst ideas I ever had. I'm back and I'll be here for awhile, I was quite active 1 year ago and I hope to become that again.

Let's all assume the strap broke, and the wiimote was sent crashing into the wii, breaking everything

A few dumb things:

"Can't you hack a 64 game to run on the DS?" (this was after I told him about my flashcart, and about SM64 DS)

Guy: "Well I'm fixing this broken antenna, and while I'm at it I think I'll make the range longer."
Me: "How?"
Guy: "By making the wire thicker, so it can carry more power."
Some guy thought making his antenna longer would make it better. I think it was the same guy.

l was talking to a freind of mine (about an hour ago) about how stupid it is when little kids have laptops and cell phones and, of course, an 11 year-old heard "laptop" and came rushing over...
kid: hey i have a laptop... well used to...
me: what happened?
kid: i dropped it, spilled stuff on it all the time but it was fine
me: so what happened then?
kid: i had it in the car and got sea sick
me:  i see... do you still have it?
kid: yeah but it's put away because the chip thing... um, the motherboard got fried
me: does it turn on?
kid: yeah but you can't log on or do stuff the parts broke
me: did you even bother to try to clean or fix
kid: no it's broke for good
me:...*walks away*

Why an alternator? Corvettes have them..... they don't work off a magneto system. Where do you think the 12v comes from?

Also, the corvair one is great, a buddy of mine has one, pancake engine FTW!
