So I asked her:
me- So what kind of computer did you have?
Her- A dell
Me- So did you get another dell?
Her- No, it's a Vista.
I've had a lot of people answer Windows XP or Vista when I ask what processor they have.

The das part wasa that he's in robotics club. He shouldd know.
In all fairness, he could have been talking from a gaming standpoint. They aren't too different if you look at it that way. It's the insides that are different, which most people don't really care about.
That's what I was thinking too when I read it. Graphically, they are about on par - look at how N64 games (Super Mario 64, Diddy Kong Racing, etc) have been ported to DS. Perhaps that is to what he was referring.

I can just see that

Man 1) "I have an AMD Dual Core"
Man 2) "I Use VISTA"

its sad, but people refuse to educate themselves. I have had to explain to people why you cant hook a PS3 up to some monitors even if it has the connections (HDMI -> DVI), ITS CALLED HDCP!

friend: Ew blu-ray?
Me: Whats wrong with it?
friend: nothing except for the fact that every time you play it the disc corrodes and the picture gets worse.

Maybe they just don't know the difference between Blu-ray and Laserdisc, a simple mistake

No optical disc corrodes when it is played, that luxury is reserved for a contact medium like magnetic tape.

Although I was just being sarcastic, I was alluding to this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laser_rot

:( Well, It looks like I'm going back to records (records FTW!) so I don't have to face a CD rot too.

Yeah, except records degrade every single time you play them.

Music compressed with a lossless algorithm on a Flash drive wins both the quality and longevity contests. 8)
