Title says it all. Me and my friend are into retro systems and wanna play some co-op games.

Also just good 2 player non co-op would be fine too.

Battletoads?

If you added the Genesis to the list, Toejam & Earl 2 is a lot of fun.

Damn straight!

- I can't vouch for the SNES version, but an equally-appearing awesome childhood favourite of mine was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 (maybe3) for the NES. The first one was far inferior.

- Bubble Bobble for NES. Tres fun.

- Mario Kart for SNES.

This one. ^

And in answer to someone's question, it was an arcade game. And amazing.

What, nobody has even mentioned NBA Jam? That game was the first real multiplayer game I remember playing to death (and then some).

I still love playing that game, and I don't even care much for basketball. Plus, it came out for just about every system x3 and, as a sports title, can be found in the bargin bins for under a dollar.
