hmm, yoshilime, ever heard of Jesus?
Too bad he wasn't born in the winter time and the Christians just took over the Winter Solstice celebrations as it made it easier to assimilate locals.

Yes grossaffe, because it snows all the time in the Middle East.

Anyway, religious discussion stops NOW. This topic is about what you want (or are getting) for Christmas/Hanukkah/Kawanzaa/Festivus or whatever you celebrate.

So what graphics card do you have? You'd need a good machine to oputput high resolution to a large screen, and keep good framerates. Asumign you game on it , that is.

I'm after an iPod classic :) Thats it, we all hate small antecky crap around here.

A job.

Ok so probably money. I don't really have anything on my list.

The question is, do I save it so it can be used responsibly (insurance, gas, etc), or blow it on a new PC because my current 'gaming' PC blows. Seriously my 2.0 ghz Turion / Radeon M200 based laptop beats it in TF2 by 10 FPS. (That's still only 20 FPS but still... Plus it won't let me build anything huge in Garry's Mod; even a modestly-sized fort made with low polygon models makes the frame rate nose-dive under 3 FPS...)

Hey, why need a new game?
Get an emulator, and have access to lots of games on your PC, then when you have enough to spend freely get that new PC.
Mine is worse then yours, and doing Emulators is awesome.
But I still prefer he real thing, dont worry.
And I own all the games I downloaded

What?

Emulators? Come on. Everyone knows about them. You don't have to point that out. :P

I've had The Orange Box since last December, and started playing TF2 in August. Plus, I'd like to be able to play new games, rather than telling myself the old ones are even better to justify putting up with a crappy computer. $500 or so will put together a decent C2D machine, but I'm contemplating a quad-core because it's going to do a lot of video transcoding, or sticking it out until spring to see if the i7 and GTX 260 parts come down in price. (Socket 775 is looking like a dead end.)

Besides, that PC's dying anyway. PC Chips makes turd motherboards.

Possibly a 21.6" 1920x1080 Acer LCD monitor (to replace my meh 17" CRT that came with my dad's $300 work computer 5 years ago).
Left 4 Dead - PC
The Orange Box - PC
Black Books Complete DVD set - awesome TV show, highly recommended if you like British comedy

lol. Yeah that's on my list too, and I'm sure I'll be working full-time where I'm doing my internship, so I'm happy. As for anything else, I'm not expecting much, nor do I really need much. I do know that I have an Aspire One laptop coming for me from my boss. It's a bonus for getting our web store up and running.
