Don't bother with a Netbook as a primary laptop. Sure they're tiny, but you'll kick yourself later if you want to do anything more than read web pages due to their low specs. (I don't think Asus has put the Atom into the Eee yet, anyway...)

I have an HP dv5000 with 1 gig of RAM, mobility Radeon 200M, and a 2.0 ghz Turion 64. It can run Team Fortress 2 with everything on low in DirectX 8 mode at about 20 FPS with 30 people on the server. It spikes to about 80 when I'm alone in 2fort. (It has to run in DX 8 mode due to a fluke in that graphics chipset; running Source 2007 games on it gives you a corrupt blue screen after a couple minutes and the system hard-resets.)

I think it was around $600 new, but that was a couple years ago.

thats the one I was looking at. On the way home from my cousins house for the thanksgiving festivities (at 8) there was already a pretty good line so I guess I'm out of luck lol
