If you can sell on e-bay, you've got a good chance of making more there with that NES. This is a fairly limited group, all capable of doing something similar, so you're going to have a harder time selling it. With some larger pics, you'd do much better on e-bay.

How about face the consequences, learn a lesson, and don't do the same thing next year :P

But seriously, if you can't resell the stuff you bought and are already selling your other stuff, that's the only option left other than get a job.

I'm sure with all the modding and stuff you have, you could make a decent cut on ebay. I recently started moving all the things from my trade thread onto ebay and I'm seeing results. Plus you probably have spare parts that you might not need. I see a bunch of sellers dedicated to selling just parts for consoles. Hope it helps.

Its all solved, he originally was counting on his money stash, but forgot where it was. In the process we found mine of $100, and his of $236 so its all good.
Youll never guess where his was...

Agreed.

If you can get your foot in the door of a retail job of some kind, I'm sure most are still hiring for the Christmas season (economy and all).

borrow money from people. It's what I do. Just don't sell your body, it's not worth it.

Anyway, being quite irresponsible with money myself, I have learned 2 things:

Temptation is the main cause for an empty wallet.
Don't go on ebay.

If it's too late for that already, there are 3 things you can do:
-borrow money
-get a job (probably too slow if it's about something in particular, otherwise see above)
-sell stuff.
Now, I'm sure there's something you can sacrifice or just don't want anymore. If there isn't, and there's this rare item you really want, you can sell something which you can easily buy back at a later point of time. Seeing as how you're a collector, maybe an item that isn't hard to acquire, like a boxed console

An alternative would be selling some current games, which you don't like anymore.

Money stash? Jeez, get a savings account. The interest may not be much, but at least:
a) You won't have to worry about losing it or it getting stolen.
b) It'll be gaining something.

Or put your money in a certificate of deposite. You can't take money out of the bank for a certain amount of time, but interest is way higher.

Guys, we have a financial crisis right now. The only thing I accept and use is gold coins.

if you're in need of money, why do you still have your sig saying that you want to buy more stuff?

if you want money, look around your house for crap that you dont want and put it up on craigslist.
