That's absolutely fine, but just say that instead of throwing out the slander and rhetoric.Bay_Wolf wrote:I've done my research and have confidence in Obama. I just disagree with McCain.

In reality this election is more like picking which pile of crap smells the least. At least with Kerry you know the guy was a bad pick, with worst voting history in the senate, the Swift Boat Vets comments, and yeah his flip-floping.
This one McCain is not what most Republicans want, but he's all we have. Mainly because he's become very liberal in how he votes and his positions, he hasn't always supported Bush. Obama.... let's put it this way, he can't really answer unscripted questions well/at all, and has lied about himself, and oh yeah he didn't even back the whole $700 million bailout after saying how much we need it.
I'm voting, so that whoever wins I can criticize their decisions without felling like a hypocrite. That's the American way!

I am a geek.
Just FYI, Obama and McCain both voted for the bailout plan today. The reason the plan didn't originally pass was that there weren't enough safeguards for the taxpayers.Sparkfist wrote:In reality this election is more like picking which pile of crap smells the least. I went for "Other" and will be voting for my own creation the Russ Feingold/Ron Paul ticket. a bi-partisan ticket that still actually believes in the Constitution unlike either of the choices we've been left with...
If I were forced to choose between Obama and McCain, I would choose Obama simply because the thought of Sarah Palin being one 72 year old John McCain heart attack away from the presidency scares the living crap out of me.

Any comment? I'll admit, there's a bit of an unnecessary slant when they talk about "campaigning while soldiers died" and stuff, but the general idea is pretty hard to deny

I'm tired of McCain's use of the argument that we are winning in Iraq, which is some how justification to be there. I'm tired of our country fighting in a modern crusade. We should NOT be trying to impose our democratic ideals on people who never even necessarily desired them in the first place. We should have left after "Mission: Find WMDs" was a miserable failure.
The fact that he picked the bimbo as his running mate, god forbid something happen to McCain, she takes office. That's unacceptable! I cringe at the thought of that woman running our country, and the fact that he picked her should go down as the most irresponsible move in political history, ever. I tried looking for any comments she's made on foreign policy on Google. Not one article. None. It doesn't exist! If we handed her a blank map of the middle east, she wouldn't be able to fill in the country's names. How can we expect these two people to get our country back on its feet?
If we continue fighting this war for years to come, and Washington continues to stagnate under some self proclaimed "Maverick reformer," whom in reality has voted with Bush 90% of the time, no reformation is going to happen. We are in for a rough ride.
And to be honest I don't trust a man to run our economy who doesn't even know how many houses he owns.

Eh, I'll see you guys after the election, there's too many stupid leftists here for me to stomach. 40% of the people here need to become literate, go read up on Middle Easter history and policy, and not make dispassionate, uninspired, and down-right ignorant comments.
Brian, I'm at school right now, I'll hop on AIM and debate your video when I get the chance to watch it.
Bye!
FROM TRITON: god with all your talk of lies and slander doesnt take much for you to insult half the people on the board you ass! let people research things for themselves and come to their own informed opinion instead of blanket labling them all stupid idiots because they dont agree with YOUR political views

McCain : "Violent games should be prohibited by law."
Obama : "Parents should regulate what games their children play."
...
Just take a guess who has my vote. I'm SICK and TIRED of the "Jackian" belief system among politicians.
(FYI : Not quoted perfectly, but it gets the jist of what they were saying.)

I hope to GOD that's not the reason you're supporting Obama. A video game dispute? What about foreign policy? What about their stance on fixing the economic crisis, Iraq/Iran, oil and alternative fuels? Is this what the youth has been reduced to? Political quarrels over video games being the decisive factor when voting? *face-palm*HBN wrote:McCain : "Violent games should be prohibited by law."
