I personally think it is a good idea. While watching movies with my friend on his Touch, I find it annoying for us to have to have our heads close together. Its not there for listening to your tunes, its for occasionally letting everyone else listen too.Gordon1 wrote:as for the whole built in speaker thing....WTF why would I ever need that. So I could listen to poor sounding distorted music?

Actually, if you listen to the launch speech, Steve Jobs puts a different spin on the speaker. Not ONCE does he mention it for playing music or movies. Instead, he flaunts it as something that makes ipod games more enjoyable. It is not meant to be high quality, it is just something that gives it one last feature it needs to be a decent handheld gaming platform.
Excellent

Silly Bacteria, there's no DRM on iPods when you use MP3s. (Just when you buy music through their store.)
