Liksang replacement?

Post by Kenny_McCormic » Thu Jul 10, 2008 1:18 pm

Does such a thing even exist? Its almost like asking for a replacement Tim Russert.

Not that I've seen. They had EVERYTHING. What do you need? Maybe someone can suggest a place for specific items.

Play-asia.com

How could you not have heard of it before? Lik-Sang was better, but still...

There is nothing! Lik-Sang was too amazing! By the way, how do you guys pronounce that name? In my head, I always find myself adding an "N" making it "Link Sang."

I always thought it was pronounced "Leek Sang". :?

Looks like that Play Asia is the closest reputable gray-market online store around. Either that or take your chances with shady eBay sellers.

You're probably right... my eye always just adds an N for some reason. Image

[sidestory, but still related]
My brother's currently at his second day of work at a brand new Play 'N Trade branch here in Tennessee. They're not even open yet; he's one of only two employees that were hired so far and they're helping the owner and his wife set the place up. He's in absolute bliss about working there, and is so glad he finally gets to quit Target.

Dean's (oh, my brother's name... mine is Donald) been passing along a lot of ideas to the owner, all of which have gone over quite well. Play 'N Trade is a franchise, and as such there are certain rules that all stores must abide by, but for the most part, the owners can do whatever they want; including sell whatever they want. Dean has already made the owner consider selling a bit of anime, and there are a couple of "off" products the owner has seen that he wants to sell. He's already got some X-Arcade joysticks in stock; how many of THOSE have you seen at Gamestop? Image

Point: I may be able to convince my brother to convince the owner to carry some more rare/obscure items that Lik-Sang used to carry; that would be so awesome! :D Have to stay away from "gray" items, though... probably. I dunno, this guy is pretty laid back about stuff.

Oh, they may also be streaming OC Remix over the store's built-in speaker system as "background music," which was another of Dean's ideas. The guy was planning on playing some classic rock-type stuff, but he was quite interested in the whole video game OST/remixes thing. 8)

Same I always pronounced it Like-sang.

I bought My Jap DS browser there like 8 months before it came out here in the US (Hey I like the Browser, I don't care that it is slow, and plus the RAM pack is useful for DS homebrew)

Yeah Playasia is the closest think to lik-sang, I ordered my VGA box from Lik-sang, and have been very happy with it.
