No way. Most remakes suck. Plus the 3rd episode sucked in my opinion.

Puppet Yoda owns the crappy CG Yoda. The reason CG is used now isn't because its better, its because its cheap.
Not just cheaper, think about the fight scenes Yoda was in for Episodes II and III. Muppet technology hasn't gotten to the point they can do aerial flips and whatnot. So a CG Yoda was the only choice. I am please thought that they worked to make Yoda's ears behave they way they did in the original trilogy, have them stiff and not really flopping around.

Ever since Ep 3 came out, I've wanted the original trilogy remade. It's been nearly 40 years!
I find your lack of faith disturbing.

Some of you people are on crack. Star wars has already been copulate up enough with episodes 1-3 and all the various re edits and revisions(han shooting second really pisses me off, hes a goddamn badass, badasses shoot first). After watching the 97 reedit followed by watching the original print of a new hope I like the original better. if it aint broke dont fix it.

I'd agree to a remake if it wasn't done by Lucas, since he's pretty much completely lost his taste for...anything.. And let's face it, the future is in remakes, nobody has any original ideas these days.
Hate me as you will, I strongly dislike Mark Hamill.

I second them making episodes 7-9, but then again, there were so many disappointments in episodes I and II (it would've been pretty hard to screw up III, it had too much awesome-ness) that the final trilogy would probably suck balls.

I had this argument with my friends at school, no we do not need either: a remake of the original trilogy, or Star Wars Episodes 7-9. The Star Wars series had its moments but it's time to let sleeping dogs lie....

Ah really? Didn't know that thanks. I only have them on VHS lol, in which if I remember rightly Episodes 5 and 6 are Special Edition and not original

Never liked remakes and of such a classic film. People would expect too much from it and even if it was excellent we'd all think it was a disappointment.

Also the new trilogy sucks
I completely agree with this...the new trilogy doesn't suck though, It's not as good though. what about darth maul? he's really bad-ass

but yeah, it shouldn't be remade, they'll screw it up.

on the whole Yoda stuff...

The original Yoda puppet was great, but really only because of the character he was portraying (old, "retired" Jedi master...) and obviously our nostalgic feelings for him. Then came Episode I Yoda....which looked like crap :P. I thought the CG Yoda was very well done, and appropriate, since Yoda was a lot more active during the Clone Wars. As far as Yodas go, I think the only failure was Episode I's puppet :|.....perhaps they might swap him out with a digital one some day, I dunno :P.
Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!

While some of you guys are wanting a Star Wars remake. And While some of you are against the idea of a remake. George Lucas has a new theatrical Star Wars film in the works. Take a look: http://www.starwars.com/theclonewars/ne ... ement.html
