Just a reminder, anyone who has still not seen Iron Man is required to go see it. If at all possible.
The trailers don't show the best bits, and the best parts of the movie are all the characters moments, though the 3 actions sequences are awesome too.
Also keep in mind this movie includes:
1) Bald Jeff Bridges, smoking a cigar while riding a Segway
2) Soldering
3) Stripper-poles built into the floor of Tony Stark's private jet (don't worry parents, nothing naughty, just the allusion thereof)
4) Computer-aided-design
5) Extensive "testing" scenes
6) Fights against real live bad-guy humans and not "scaly bug monsters/asteroids"
7) Various scenes of things being taken apart and rebuilt into other things
Flamethrowers
9) Machine guns
10) Missiles
11) Explosions
12) Iron Man hit by a soccer mom in an SUV
13) Gywneth Paltrow working again
14) Tony Stark trash-talking his robotic assistant arms
15) And much, much more...
Oh also the trip to Baltimore was good, none of it was under NDA so I'll probably discuss on the next podcast. Later!

Seconded, I haven't shut up about ironman for at least a week and a half.
Swear to god, on more than one occasion, I have ended a conversation about ironman by saying "Ironman, IRONMAN, irONman, ironmanironmanironman, ironMAN, IRONman", or something along those lines.
And on more than one occasion, I have been given weird looks that I've already seen in 3 times.
Seriously, you are all REQUIRED to see it. It's amazing.

OMFG a friend of mine said he saw it, and he said it wasn't that good
I felt like hitting him or something but he is a cripple and that isn't cool.
(He has braces on his legs, and his left arm is missing some muscles, but he is a cool guy, and acts completely normal and is an Eagle scout.)
Plus he said he sees allot of movies, and I don't see how he can't like this movie compared to all the junk out there in theater, but yet he isn't like us, he doesn't like taking things apart, closest geeky thing he does is play his 360, but most people nowadays play video games

My girlfriend didn't really like it, but she has an irrational fear of robots (not really fear actually, more like apprehension towards), so it's not really her fault.Jongamer wrote:OMFG a friend of mine said he saw it, and he said it wasn't that good
She didn't like Transformers for the same reason, on the other hand she really likes the new Battlestar Galactica for this reason (since the robots are bad guys).
And yes I know Iron Man isn't a robot, but he looks like one, which is really all the matters when irrational fears are concerned.

I have that same fear. There are many movies I haven't seen because of it, but Iron Man was fine.Bubbles wrote:My girlfriend didn't really like it, but she has an irrational fear of robots (not really fear actually, more like apprehension towards), so it's not really her fault.Jongamer wrote:OMFG a friend of mine said he saw it, and he said it wasn't that good
