Request - any chance we can have bacteria as a mod?

Post by jeffslot » Wed Mar 12, 2008 6:35 am

Hi guys,

I've been a member for a little while & also a big fan of this site. I certainly don't want this to turn into a forum bashing post. Sometimes I get a bit frustrated with the level of information available from users and moderators. Is there any way to request that bacteria become some type of moderator? I just wondering because he seems to be really dedicated to this process and I think portabalizers would really benefit from his experience and ideas. Just a question, I know you guys probably arnen't looking for any new mods...

(of course, I have no idea if bacteria would like to be a mod...)

Thanks.
Jeff S.

When looking for additional staff, we look for more than just their experience with making portables and mods. Moderators are here to enforce the rules. Any member can be helpful and you don't need to be part of the staff to do that.

I'm not saying that bacteria might not be asked to be part of the staff at some point (that decision is not mine to make) just that he can keep being helpful without being part of the staff, and that doesn't change anything.

Personnaly, I think he would be a fine mod, as he interacts with the forum quite a bit. However, He has not been here that long(the only issue I can present), and probably has better things to do than to pwn noobs all day.

I, however, would totally be up for the job. But thats just me.

Gosh, thanks guys for the vote in confidence. Image

Yes, I would be interested if approached, Image I believe however at the moment there is no vacancy, so I will continue to keep an active participation on the site and provide whatever advice and assistance I can, as I do at the moment. I love this site and love hacking and modding - I spend most of my free time on the forum or on my projects Image which get blogged into the site. My knowledge of this work is increasing at a great rate, and I am very happy to share it with anyone if it helps others too.

One personal goal I have for this site (hint, hint) Image is to have my current project parts stickied in their corresponding forum parts (N64, SNES, MegaDrive, GameCube, PlayStation 1, etc) as the project progresses and moves into each area. I am trying to make my current project as good as I possibly can make it by hand; and provide as good guides as I can in the process as I am going along (to make them hopefully being worthy stickies). This will also give me considerable experience in other systems too.

Are mods do an excellent job and i rarely see spam on here.

Bacteria would probably make an excellent mod, but thats beside the point we have plenty.

Though I have to agree with the other mods that we currently don't need any new mods, things are always bound to change. Bacteria is an extremely well-respected, helpful, professional, and experienced member, all things we look for when accepting new personnel. If the demand for moderators goes up sometime, I can definitely see Bacteria's name being thrown into the mix! :P

That being said, I think we do a pretty good job of keeping things clean otherwise, no?
