The only way to survive a zombie attack is to outlast them, and that is going to be damn hard. I think ones best chance is too barricade themselves somewhere with as much food as possible NON-perishable!
The costco by me has plenty of food. the walls are cinderblock and all the doors are steel shudders. no windows. gots plenty of guns and ammo. also there is a military supply store on the way to costco.

It is not junk! It is assorted goods with no current use.

I'd probably take shelter in the Super Wal-Mart with attached McDonald's. Anything and everything you want is there. Food? There's a whole supermarket. Need to make zombie nets? Head to the fabric department. Guns? They've got 'em. Want to make a perimeter wall out of Legos and K-nex? Go for it, you've got access to plenty! The fast food will sustain you after you've exhausted the supermarket supplies (because those burgers can last a long time thanks to their 50% preservative content), and you can use the stoves to cook.

But I agree with some of you, the first stop should be a surplus store to stock up on goodies. Maybe swing by U-Haul first an get their biggest, heaviest moving truck for transporting goods...

This reminds me of the podcast episode where Ben and Jones talked about what they would do in a zombie apocalypse...

Just head to a very cold place, such as Nortnern Canada/Alaska. Zombies dont have body heat (A noticable one atleast), they will freeze faster than a Snowball will melt in the Sahara.

Tripple post FTW!

I would divide by zero...

OH SHI-

NAH, I would probably go to some small island, clear off all the zombies and in a couple of years when I develop a way to take out lots of zombies easily, go out and find surviving hot chicks/ben heck and then live happily ever after!

I don't really want to think of these.

If IT was really going to happen I have a big backpack to save all my games, my laptop and my hard drives that literally contain my whole life. :)

Is not! You lie!

I was thinking about that whole zombie freezing thing. At the end of Land of the Dead, they said they were going up to Canada because there was "nothing up there". And it's cold. Romero zombies are dead, thus don't produce body heat. Maybe cells produce heat, but not for the entire bioform. Thus, the best protection is snow! What can't snow do!

Pretty sure you're completely wrong. Snow can easily do that. Better yet, it's done as soon as you imagine it!
