 Wow. I've never really liked Microsoft, but even I am impressed by those specs. They'll have to sell a lot of games to make up for losses in hardware sales, though. (That is- Unless the machine is really expensive. )

But most systems cost about $300 when they're first released. So if that's the price it'll actually be a good deal. A normal PC with those specs would easily be over $1000. Unfortunatly, it probably won't have any games I like(Just like the Xbox) :(

Maybe I'm biased because MS killed one of my favorite game companies (and most anticipated games), but I'm really not all that impressed. Yeah sure, its got a lot of power (more than my PC) but I guess I just don't go for that sort of thing. Besides which, it sounds a lot like the original X-Box: PC cramed into small (kind of) box with TV-out and more limited use.

But hey, Nintendo fanboy talkin'....

I'm, in general, disenchanted with video games of the day. I'll stick with my classics. Good games, good memories, good times... past, present and future.

Wow, simply wow. Microsoft is again going to stomp the compatition with hardware superiority. The thing I find odd about the talk about the hardware is they said the optical drive will be the same, more or less thats true but currently all DVD based games are on single layered discs not dual.
