Regional Stores (Inspired by the Restaurant Thread)

Do you have any stores that are only where you live? We have a place called Bob's Discount Furniture that has started to spread all over New England, but started here in Connecticut. He has the cheesiest ads ever. If you're ever in New England, expect too see his ads. "Come On Down!"

Badcock furniture. The most hilariously named store ever. Their slogan? We'll treat you right.

Yep, Bob's is everywhere. (I like Jordan's and Cardi's better, though.) If you don't live around the area, then you've probably never seen his corny ads. (Talking, singing furniture and stop-motion. *shudder*)theelk wrote:Do you have any stores that are only where you live? Ooh, we can't forget good old Building #19, the wholesaler that sells you dented cans, previously-flooded toasters, and clothes that smell of burnt warehouse. (They buy "slightly" damaged goods and sell them at low prices.)
And of course there's the old Ann & Hope, which pioneered big-box retailing, the recently-closed Ames, which expanded beyond its means and went bankrupt, and Ocean State Job Lots, which is one step above Building 19. Book's Pharmacy was a local competitor to CVS, but Rite-Aid just bought them out.

They sell 4021s for 14 cents each. I love reichelt, seriously. It's like the german (cheap) radioshack.

There is a small chain in Alabama where I used to live called "South's Finest Meats." It may be elsewhere in the south as well, but I've only seen two locations.
They were formerly called "Southeastern Meats" and their slogan was "Southeastern meats just can't be beat!"
There was also a Regional department store in the south called "Rich's" and they had a giant Christmas tree every year, but they were bought by Macy's.
Most grocery stores are regional. I'm willing to bet none of you can do better than the grocery chain name "Piggly Wiggly."
