I've started school...
Just use a web proxy. That's what I do when I can't get on a site at school.
Meh, I don't post much.

At my school, all the sites that are blocked in IE are blocked in FF because the school has a proxy and you have to use it. I believe someone told me that you could bypass it, I think they said you had to use the IP address, but it might have required something else. I also heard that someone VNC'd their home computer, so they could go anywhere, I'm not sure how they got the VNC program on the computer, maybe they booted with a linux liveCD or something.

Web proxies are almost always blocked.

the common ones are. but oddball ones aren't. It's easier with the ones that don't have 'proxy' in the url.

you can also sometimes hit sites that have their url blocked by using their IP address directly. It all depends on how it is blocked and where.

really there are a lot of ways it could be blocked. Simple domain name blocking, ip blocking, keyword blocking or (most likely) blocking of part of the url, like "viewtopic.php?" to kill a lot of forums. I can't think any reason why benheck would gather special attention (like IP blocking) so some kind of automated tool probably doesn't like some content or content type here.

logmein.com is what I use. I think they blocked it at the very end of the year though.

Like a month left of my senior year (this past year) they blocked Google Video, Youtube, and Firefox. They barred FF from loading because their proxy couldn't block one of the popular https proxies with FF.
I felt bad for my younger friends, they need to make it through several years of school with IE and no [good] video sites. It'll be boring as hell for them.

At my school everything is run through a proxy but if you go into the proxy settings and turn them all off the computer is unlocked and you can go anywhere on it.

My school didn't have any proxies blocked, until I used one to access meatspin.

Its a good joke, when you turn the screen off after doing that and leaving it for some poor sucker.

I programmed a tool for that a long time ago...
www.wocares.com/kyobot.php

it's a pain in the ass sometimes, tho. Currently working on a new version, but that doesn't support cookies or POST (and therefore logging in) yet
