Great video.
Are any of you guys going to try to pick one of these up? I think they look pretty fun to use. Heck the screen rotates, it can go into like a "portrait non keyboard mode". Also theres a button to like flip the screen incase you wanna show someone something upside down.
Sweeet.
Who wants one?

There was an article where the company that is going to manufacture the $100 laptops will be offering an open market version. So it's very possible something like the XO.gannon wrote:Wasn't it supposed to only be available to schools/organizations?
Edit: Also, minimum orders of 1 million? Is that units or $?
I haven't heard when that is going to come out, so I think I'll be going to the competitor, which is the Asus Eee PC. It's a hundred dollars more, but you know what it's going to be released within the next few months. Who really knows when the open market XO could be released.

No. The $100 price refers to the price when bought in bulk. For the average consumer who wants to buy just one, it will probably be around $350. I'm pretty sure they aren't going to sell in bulk to any commercial retailers, either. They aren't look to give us charity, we hardly need it. The idea behind this whole organization is good, but the computer hardly fits any of the needs of most computer-savvy people; it is made for those that are less fortunate.
IMHO it looks like a little kid's fisher price toy, why would you ever want one when you could get a much better [looking] one for almost the same price, albeit not new.
