scary-ass books

Post by ganonbanned » Thu Jul 26, 2007 5:47 pm

For me: IT by stephen king, and call of the cthulu by HP lovecraft.

what is an easy to read, but scary book? I consider IT easy-reader, but thats because the starting is very good and it gets right to the point (kinda). I dont think call of the cthulu would have been that scary, but I read it right before I went to bed.

It takes me a very long time to read, call of the cthulu took about 2 hrs, but It took me about a year.

any recomendations?

house of leaves by mark z danielewski will mess with your head something fierce but its not exactly an easy or short read, its like 600 pages and some really weird formatting at times but awesome. other scary books dunno lol, some of dean koontz are kinda freaky but not real scary. im not easily scared so dont ask me lol

Reading one of the more freakier chapters of The Dark Tower IV by Stephen King had me freaked out like crazy when reading it late at night. Like halfway through the chapter I thought, "F this, I'll read this when I'm more awake.."

Books dont tend to scare me but I do enjoy reading horror anyway, Stephen King inparticular. If you liked it check out Carrie. Btw have you seen the IT movie?

All books scare me, with their lack of backlighting and save, copy and paste functions.

I hate them too because of their lack of conectivity.
