Hey, while I was parkouring and exploring today I found what looks to be an old 280 ml 7up can.
I have taken pictures.
Can someone resize the pics for me? My internet is being slow. Imageshack and photobucket were very slow to load.
Questions, what year was this can made?
Is it worth anything?

It might be worth 5 cents...
It's not really worth anything to a collector, considering the shape it's in, but you could clean it up, push the dents out with the eraser end of a pencil, and keep it on your desk as a conversation piece. (A cheap conversation piece.) You should start a collection of interesting stuff you find while you're running around.
From the looks of it, I guess it's probably from the early-mid 90s.

Seriously? Completely sealed with no holes anywhere? That's definitely out of the ordinary; it sounds like a factory screw-up that passed all the way to the packaging department. My freinds grandpa has an old 7up can thats sealed, and has NOTHING in it.

The camera's fine. Just increase the ambient light in the room, put the can down on the table (put a white sheet up in the background if you want), and keep the camera as still as possible. Either rest your elbows on the table or get a tripod. Tripods haven't changed in decades, chances are a thrift store find will work as long as your camera has a tripod mount. (It might not if it's one of the ultra thin sissy cameras with no optics, but almost anything else will. Even then, the tripod should have a decent-size base you can rest the camera on.)
Basically, more light and steadiness = better pictures. Holding the can in one hand and the camera in the other is just asking for motion blur, especially with inexpensive or older cameras.
EDIT: Also back up a bit. You're too close, and the camera can't focus. The pictures are big enough that you can move further back and have more detail. (The images just wind up resized and cropped anyway.)

Who said it was your camera? Our camera happens to be about 4 years old (back when 64MB XD cards were $50, wasn't even super back then), and it takes way better pictures. You must have a setting wrong, they look like they were taken with a webcam.HotDog-Cart wrote:I didnt ask if the pictures looked bad or anything, my camera happens to be all I can afford.

Wow, are all Canadian cans like that? I'm friggin' jealous. Only Red Bull and Miller Lite (or is it Coors...) come in that type of can around here.
