Guys, I've always been interested in Hacking. Not evil hacking like the stuff thats on the news, but the good stuff. Like you know. Hacking is Good. Cracking is BAD.
My favorite movie is: Hackers. I love that movie, although hacking isnt really like that.
You guys know a lot more than I do. So I want to know. Wheres the underground. You know. The place where all the hackers conspire and such. (Like where they "hangout".)
I dont even know if the "Underground" exists. The internet that existed YEARS ago, is way different then the one we know today.
Also, where can I go to learn more about Hacking and such? (Dont say Google. I want a website that has knowledge.)
Last but not least. Theyres some hacking simulators on the internet. I played one years ago, which was very simple to use. It required no knowledge of networking. It was basically "Hack into the server before the time expires and they track you."
Anyone know what that games called?
And can you guys list some hacking simulators, that a n00b like me can play around with?
Thanks.
PS: If this is against the rules, can you please Contact me via PM and I will delete the "grey" areas of the post. (I dont think the simulator part is against the rules.)

And for a sim, try SlaveHack or Hack this site
Hack this site is down for some reason...

Why is it that every time I post in a thread, it dies?

This is actually a great question, and a lot of people want to ask, but they're afraid too.
First, I'm defiantly no "elite" but I do know some stuff.
Second, a good site I suggest is http://www.jinx.com go to their forums, and that's an "undercover" hacking forum (It's also a gamer/geek store, so they didn't want the word "hacking" on their main page)
Also, hacking does not only involve computers. Modding things, like this forum is for, is also considered hacking. There's internet hacking, cracking (The dark side that gives hacking a bad rep), phreaking (phone hacking), and a lot more. You got pick and choose what you really want to do.
Hacking also involves a lot of programming, and computer knowledge. Do you know what the SAM File is on your computer? Just explore your computer first, and see what happens. you can use a lot of hacking tools, that others have made, but it's a lot better if you can create this programs on your own.
But yeah, if you or anyone else wants to know more, just PM me and I can show you some stuff, and get you setup with some links and such. But if your trying to learn to hack, to crack into your friends' myspace account, destroy their computer, or take over Ebay, or whatever, then just stop, and forget about it.
But yeah, good luck
Matt
