What are all your plans for after highschool/college/whatever?
When I finish highschool next year, I'm going to Spain for the summer (hey, maybe I'll see you there dudex!) Then I'm coming home, moving to Vancouver, BC and going to The Art Institute of Vancouver, and taking this course. Then I'm going to work for UbiSoft. Yes. I have it all planned out.

Damn, I wanna go to Spain
Personally, I'm in college already right now. I finished my first year at a college in the University of Wisconsin system, but am not so fond of my current program (too much math for my liking).
I'm planning on transferring to another college in the UW system in the Fall of 2008. When I go there, I'll be getting a degree for a Computer Science major (Software Engineering, to be precise) and will have a Spanish minor.
Lately I've been playing with the idea of getting a Masters degree somewhere further away from home. I've been thinking of a Computer Science and Engineering degree at the University at Buffalo in Buffalo, NY (stopped there for a bit on a road trip, fell in love with the town) That part is still in the open for pretty much every detail, however, including whether or not I actually do it.
After that, I'll probably move someplace warm (probably Texas, Arizona, or someplace like that) and work as a programmer. Then I may or may not come back to Minnesota (homestate) or Wisconsin (where I'm living now).

Khaag, your not going to see me. I really hope for your sake because Malaga is the crapper and would ruin your perception of Spain. Try out Madrid, Valencia, or Barcelona (If you can put up with Catalan) Sevilla is pretty cool too I guess. Totally let me know if you ignore my advice though. I would love to do something to do with electronics in my future but im doubting it would really amount to anything so Ive been thinking a lot about a game store that actually carried games made before 2000 and imports.

At first I'll be going to Mallorca, cause that's where my Uncle is and I'll be staying with him. Then I'll travel from there to other parts of Spain and go to some of the rest of Europe.

I plan to take IT courses at a local technical college starting this fall and the classes are free to high school students (I'll be a junior in high school, second to last year). So I'll hopefully finish that by the end of high school (I think I'll even by able to get my associates degree) and be a certified IT. Then I'll work for a year after high school (hopefully in IT) and serve a 2 year mission for my church. Then I'll go to college for my bachelors degree in something computer related, probably focusing on a specific IT field.

Wow. You guys have very specific plans.
As for me, here's where I'm at:
-Upgrade highschool marks to get into University
- Go to University for Engineering (the specific type doesn't need to be chosen until year 2, McMaster University has a genereal Engineering I program. I'm thinking Mechanical.)
- Get a job. Possibly on a Research & Development team. If not, something with designing things.
- Freeload for a while, save up as much money as possible (3-5 years)
- Buy a house, car, marry, children, etc.

Well, I'm currently in high school, and right now I'm just trying to get as many college credits as I can, hopefully I can start going to community college full-time by my Senior year. Then of course, a University somewhere, but where exactly is still under scrutiny, seeing as I've gotta pick from a few career selections.
After that, I've got two options that I'd really like to pursue: One is more of a "dream job", and that's getting into the gaming industry somehow. Probably not through any technical feat like programming, as it bores the living daylights out of me, but more like something on the business end, like a marketing rep or something. I'm really into that kind of thing, so that + video games = awesome!
So either that, or my other career I'd really like to pursue, law enforcement or intel, like FBI or CIA. Yeah, sounds tacky and all, but it'd be a rewarding job, nonetheless.

I was seriously looking into working for the CIA. I even contacted them and everything. Turns out you need have been an American citizen for 5 or 10 years, I can't remember which. For me, that would be unreasonable, so I dropped that aspiration...
