Okay, I tried to downgrade my psp to 1.5, and then it said the battery needs to be at atleast 75%, then it restarted my psp, tried to load GTA, and my psp turned off.

Is it bricked?
Is it safe to try to turn it on?

GTA can't run on 1.5, I had a similar problem. I had all of my Emu's running for 1.5, then when I bought GTA, found out I had to be on 2.0 :( That was months ago though, there is probably an Emu for 2.0, or 2.5 by now.

EDIT: remove the game and you can turn it back on.

:D It works now. Woah. Close one. Thanks man :)

Also, where can I find a link to 3.03-OE/3.10-OE made by dark_alex?

(That custom firmware, allows me to use homebrew, right?)

I didn't use my PSP long after GTA came out, so I don't know about the newest homebrews/alternatives. Here is what you were looking for though.

I dunno if I wanan upgrade to that just yet :p

A few questions.

Can I run a PS1 emulator using 1.5 firmware?
Can anyone link me to a good ps1 emulator that works for PSP?
Also, whats the chance of bricking when upgrading?

Can I run a PS1 emulator using 1.5 firmware? Yes (pretty sure)
Can anyone link me to a good ps1 emulator that works for PSP? Yes
Also, whats the chance of bricking when upgrading? Like I said, I got rid of the PSP before it was advanced enough for me to run into a problem like this. But look around here for information, Emu's, Homebrew games, Apps, etc. (look on the left nav bars for everything)

EDIT: These games will run on the ps1 Emu.
Highlight of that link: Final Fantasy 7 - Works

Homebrew and Emulation are software thats made using free and legal tools to play on games consoles. This Network is the only worldwide network of sites where coders can upload and post news of their own releases and get the credit and comments they deserve for all their hardwork.
