nice nightwheel

though that Joystick is just about worthless lol.

EVERY thrift store I have ever been to has gobs of those joysticks, and to a lesser extent Streering wheels.

Thanks guys for your nice coments on my find. Im already thinking about selling the Sega. I sure could use the money to get parts for my Namco Portable. But we'll see if I sell the sega or not.

Jongamer: That Joystick might seem useless. But I got a few ideas for it. But first I need to buy a 15-pin to USB converter. So I can do my ideas

Here a few tips of mine on how to find good deal .

Tip#1: Don't wait for deals to appear. Go find a yard sale or Junk sale. The best days to get good deals are when it cold or there any other type of abnormal weather. That make the day not a good day for a yard sale to profit. They'll probly be more willing to make better deals with you due to that.

Tip#2: Check craigslist. You can find some great deals. But remember the better the deal is. More chances it will be gone quickly. And keep a keen eye on the Free section of Craigslist. People sometimes put up game system they don't want anymore or need to git rid of ASAP. Sometimes you can even find even find free Cars, Computers, Almost brand new TV's, and even hot tubs in the free section. Or any thing else
you want.

Tip#3: Go where ther are not as many people. A yard sale where there are my people like in a city. People seem to price stuff higher. But the people who live where not a lot of people live might have things priced lower. Like small towns.

Tip#4. Go yard saleling during City Wide Yard Slale day( if your city has one). Many deals can be found on day like this. But get to the yard sale when they open to get first dibs on the deals.

I hope these tips help you find great deals on good things Dr. KillGood

All we have around here is The Salvation Army, which seems to think that anything that plugs into the wall has to cost at least $50. (I bet their pricing guide says "Add another $50 if it has a green board with a bunch of things you don't understand on it inside.")

Seriously, $200 for a non cable-ready 20" console TV, $50 for a big PSX, $15 for an old Instamatic, VCRs starting at $75... <img src="http://www.skytroniks.com/images/databa ... es/ugh.gif">

One time I almost got an extra ADB mouse and a pair of good condition Atari 2600 joysticks but the woman behind the counter took them and threw them in a big pile because they hadn't defiled them with their pricing Sharpie yet. :(

I like car boot sales (that is what we call them in the UK). I manage to get a variety of stuff cheap by this route. Best deal was at the start of December, horrible day weather wise, but one stand had lots of old systems and controllers some good, some broken, I got 2 x N64, 1 x N64 controller, 1 x PSU for an N64, 3 x NES controllers; all for £10. On a previous visit I got an N64 game (one I didn't have) for 70p (about $1.40) and Mario Smash Bros (N64) for £3 (it is very rare and worth about 4x this on e-bay). My wife likes to buy lots of books from car boot sales for 10-20p each (20-40c), I get PC magazines when I can, for 10-20p each. I have bought a few plug 'n' play TV Namco games for £1 and sold on e-bay for £5 each plus postage!

It works pretty well and it is a very nice repro of the NES. ^^

Well got it off eBay but we don't have a thread for it. Normally go for about £120, but I got it for £50. Wanted one since 1999.

everyone round here when they have ps1's and 2's with mod chips in they just say "its chipped" i sold a ps1, and i said to the vguy "its chipped" (it literally had a massive chip in one corner) then i said "here, lemme show...." he said "i know what a chip is!" and gave me the £10, the next day he was back, "it doesnt play my burned games" then i said "if you listened i was telling you it had a BIG CHIP in one corner!" and he threw it on the ground and walked off.
