Btw, if you don't want to use pine as the main body wood, there's always the option of using it as a veneer on top. It'll be somewhat harder to do on a carved Les Paul top, but IIRC the Les Paul Studio has a flat top, and then it would become a lot easier.
I have to admit, I love the look and sound of the Les Paul, but the Strat is just so much more comfortable IMO. And a Strat with a bridge humbucker sounds really awesome too.
If I ever get the money (I think getting a job would help lol) I should get Warmoth to make me a Les Paul flat top with a Strat hardtail bridge and bolt-on neck. Oh yeah, add a quilted maple top too... Now THAT would be awesome!

I'm at the point of where I need to buy pickups. Unfortuanately, to be able to route the pockets for the pickups, I actually need to buy the pickups... which requires money... which I need for other higher priorities.
So... until I get the sufficient funds to get the pickups, I will route the pickup pockets, and paint it. Then I will wail on my uber axe. Hard.

Hey you said in my Guitar Hero thread that you wanted to take a couple ideas from me? Please don't tell me you're converting this guitar into a Guitar Hero controller....
EDIT: Oh, nevermind. Never actually read your other post in that thread!
I'm thinking about buying an Epi Les Paul... It's kind of annoying though because half the reviews online say it's a Gibson with a different name, and the other half says it's crap!! Who do I believe?

If you're looking at this post and it was made before 2008, just ignore it.
