Maybe... <.< not really... a little. Never with her, though. But... these college students... whoa... they're wild man. The entire anime club, girls included, would probably all watch hentai TOGETHER just to laugh at it as well if the school would allow it. You should hear the kind of discussions that they have at Cyber.marshallh wrote:Are you saying you watch hentai?Electric Rain wrote:She'll watch some of the worst hentai you can think of sitting right next to you and just... laugh at the multiple tentacles flying about.
I'm waiting until later to waste time finding girls... maybe late undergrad would be fine. There's slim pickins at my school..
Happy Valentine's Day!

I think he's saying they WILL. Thus, the "just wait" comment. Don't worry, nerds are smart, thus nerds get good, high-paying jobs. So, worst case scenario you get a women who only loves you for your money... but you'll still get a women! j/k That's just low... >.>vskid wrote:I haven't seen much proof of that.Kurt_ wrote:Chicks dig nerds. I personally don't think I'll have a problem... I've known 3 different girls, including Kelly, that've all said to both me and my brother that I'm "hot" and/or they'd "do me." So... I think I'll be okay once I start hunting for a girlfriend. Oh, and his own girlfriend also said that about me... but... that'd be the day... *runs and hides*
Edit: You know... I was just thinking... and, I think there are a lot of high-schoolers here that are worried about girlfriends and wishing they could find one that's also a bit of a geek like us. Well, I didn't go to high-school, given. But from what I've heard about it and what I've seen in college, you should all know that there are going to be a lot more "compatible" girls at college than there are in high-school. Besides that, high-school relationships hardly EVER last... really just in anime do they ever last. You just have more of a chance of getting your heart broken. If you get too attached to a high-schooler. College is the time for girlfriends, guys. High-school "geek-girls" are much harder to find. Trust me. Just hold out a little longer, okay?

Well Electric Rain (it feels weird using screen names in a discussion like this) all I have to say is I think it was kind of unfair for her to behave around you the way she did according to your story. She is unavailable, and both of you know that. She sounds like an awesome girl, but at the same time there needs to be limits that all parties abide by to prevent mixed feelings like this. She may have not had the intention, but guys are very responsive to actions like that. I don't know enough about your situation to give much more advice than that, but the fact that she's engaged is reason enough that I suggest you try your hardest to respect that fact, even if she appears to not do that herself.
As for girls liking nerds... It's not so much liking nerds, but them liking you and being okay with you being a nerd I've been dating the same girl since our senior year in high school (Jan 24 was the three year mark for us). Seriously, don't sweat not finding just the right person for you at the moment. Just the year previous to meeting my girlfriend I was recovering from a breakup of a long-term relationship (what seemed like one at the time, 9 months). I seriously had the thought constantly going through my head that there was no one in this town for me and that I wouldn't meet anyone until I moved on in my life. Little did I know that the next year I would meet the girl I plan on marrying as soon as I finish college (26 hours left to go! Woot!) We had both grown up in the same town, knew a lot of the same friends, went to the same senior high school, but just never happened to meet each other until the end of our Junior year and started dating Senior year. We often wonder why we didn't meet each other before when we did, but looking back I wouldn't have it any other way. I think life happens at exactly the pace it's supposed to, whether we disagree with that or not at times. The same thing applies to meeting the one who's meant for you. You're going to meet them at exactly the time you're supposed to and there's not much changing that. The important thing is to just work on improving yourself and becoming or being the person who you want to be.
Edit: Oh and I don't know too much about the college dating thing... I've had some friends who have had some tough luck since getting here But it's not all bad because: 1) girls are more relaxed because they know who they are a bit more than they did in high school and 2) you're able to go out and do more date type stuff than you could in high school. So I'd say your dating chances go up about 50%

Yeah, I agree with you on pretty much all of what you said. You seem to know what you're talking about.
About Kelly... she... I don't... think she really knows how much of a tease she's being. Her boyfriend knows how she is, and doesn't seem to have a problem with it. But... I don't know. It's hard to think negatively of Kelly in any way. I'm biased towards thinking she's one of the greatest things to walk the earth, so I automatically want to take up for her in a case like this. Normally I would just say "Well, that's just how she is and..." blah blah blah. But, I have told her how I feel about her... for the most part. I've said that if I was a bit older and a worse person that didn't respect the fact that she was engaged, I'd be... I think I said "all over you." We've talked before about "if she didn't have a boyfriend" and she's said she liked me and would date me in a heartbeat. But... I honestly believe the relationship she has with me is just close friends and she thinks I feel the same way dispite what I've told her. But... I don't want to tell her how much of a tease she is... because... I don't want her to stop being with me like she is...
I don't think she understands... how much I take what she says to heart. When I do something she thinks is "hot" or cute," in her words, she'll just smile (also awesome) at me and I'll say, ..."What?" with a grin on my face, and she'll say, "Nothing... it's just really hot when you *fill in the blank*." (For example, I have a habbit of bitting/twirling my glasses with my teeth that she thinks is really cute.) Or somthing along those lines. To her, she's just stating a fact. She's just speaking her mind, and that's all she thinks about it. To me... well, that's just a big fat tease to me... though it's still nice to hear...

Hmm... let's see what did I do Wednesday?
Woke up. Ate food. Cleaned. Studied Russian. Ate more food. Studied more Russian. Ate food. Shopped for Ebook readers online while watching Law & Order.
Uh that was it... I think I finished labeling my collection of Fullmetal Alchemist DVD+R's somewhere in there.
Well it was better than today; The rest of today's Law & Order's were canceled due to sports and wrestling, meaning now I have to watch CSI: Miami . Why, WHY can man not invent a form of ritual combat involving TANKS! Now I would get On Demand just to watch that!

Totally agree with that. I avoid weird situation very fast just in case. Anyway, I've spend the day with my girlfriend. (About 2 years and half minus a break of 2 month). Happy that break happened though, it solved a lot of problem. Anyway, we didn't buy anything or made anything special on that day because we believe love should be celebrated everyday, and not only a single day. It's still a fun day for most and I respect that. For some, it's an occasion to meet girls . Anyway, as for girls digging nerdz, my girlfriend is more a gamer than I am, and she accepts me the way I am. She says my strange behaviour is my own special charming skill . Anyway, I'm pretty happy with this relationship. Btw, I'm 18 and she's 19.joedog86 wrote:Well Electric Rain (it feels weird using screen names in a discussion like this) all I have to say is I think it was kind of unfair for her to behave around you the way she did according to your story. Good evening from Québec
Jeep
Let's have a vote... should I, or should I not ask the girl I am VERY interested in out? And by the way I think I fall into the decently-good-not-nerdy-looking category. Wohoo! No acne for me suckas! lol
