Your favorite system and why

Post by Gump-in-space » Sat Feb 10, 2007 11:26 am

Just collecting info for my Komodo project...

My favorite system is the Sega Dreamcast, because the load times are short, it has a ton of great games, the controllers are comfortable and the VMUs are awesome.
What are you guys's favorite systems and why?

PSP, mainly because its every system before the and including the N64. If PSP doesnt count, then i would say Xbox (not the 360)

I might have to say GBA. It was like Super Nintendo, but with new games!

I say gba. tons of games, both new and old, excellent variety. Lots of rpg, strategy, platformers and racing games. With the final 'micro' upgrade it became a system compact enough to forget about until needed. It's comfortable buttons, brightly backlit screen and unmatched picture sharpness make it a winner. probably the last major system that will focus on 2d gaming.

runner up has got to be the neogeo aes/mvs. while not the most powerful, it is still best system option for what it does. insanely long lifespan, good quality games and rabid fans boost it. low variety and number of games caused by low user base/high initial price held it back. perfection costs money, it wasn't snk's fault that we didn't have it.

Gameboy Original, because it accompanied me for so many years, and it never failed to deliver entertainment.

-and it was transparent and super-cool! 8)

N64 because it's a great system for when a load of people come over. (mario cart, mario party, mario tennis, excite bike...all of those)

Ooooh....I'd have to say the NES. It was the first system I ever owned (and still own), Plus, I'm planning on portablizing it 8) (just as soon as I can get my hands on a nice screen for it. )
