I would say the Gamecube, because of it's fantastic controller, size, and Animal Crossing, but it has a serious lack of FPS games which is my genre. I got to play the Wii for an hour the other week, and I got to play Exite Truck, but no FPS, so I can't pass jusgement on it yet. So my favorite system of all time would have to be my PC. Strictly consoles, I would say it's a tie between my NES and my Gamegear.

snes, because I havnt played many games that suck for it, except for FF:Mystic quest, that game was horrible, and plus its the system I grew up with and the system that made me love video games, took me 2 years to go on to the n64 after it came out.

N64. How could a system have Super Mario 64 and not be good?
Xbox in second, Halo 2 and comfy controllers.
SNES/GBA in third, they have Super Mario World.

GBA: Portable, user friendly, and with some very engrossing games. My first favorite system.

snes

Snes all the way. C'mon, if someone puts in Super Mario World, you will play it, period. Second is N64. One word, ZELDA! along with Super Smash Bro's. copulate 007. That game basically started the huge craze of FPS's.

that is all

SNES, hands down. My friend's NES got me into console gaming when I was a mere 3 years old, at 4 I got my first system (Gameboy) and on my 5th birthday, I got my first game and home console, the SNES and Yoshi's Island, which probably remains one of my favorite games of all time.

The SNES is just so versatile as well. When I was younger, it had the best platformers available on ANY system (don't give me that Sonic the Hedgehog crap  ) and now that I'm older, it has a wealth of great fighters and RPGs.

Second is probably the Neo Geo AES, followed closely by the PS2.

For consoles, I'd have to say N64. I bought it fairly late in its lifecycle, and I probably got more playtime out of my GC, but it's the console that brought me into gaming with awesome games like Zelda, Mario 64, Smash Bros., Banjo-Kazooie, and Mario Kart.

But as for portables, DS is amazing. I bought one about a year ago, and I can't keep up with all the great games coming out for it. (I still haven't picked up the new Castlevania, Yoshi's Island DS, or Elite Beat Agents.) More and more games keep being released, and it's beating the stuffing out of the PSP (commercial games-wise ;)).

I would have to say that the modern consoles are tops with me
I prefer tha ps2 because it has better graphics and such good gameplay and a comfy controller
this is coming from a guy whose first console was the atari 2600, I always found the graphics and such lacking in early systems but my second would have to be the genesis it had better games than the kiddie stuff bigN has always put out

I would have to say the psone since there is a multitude of really good games when it came out and there were more creative titles that were filtering in from Japan, also, It recieved a lot of arcade ports form the older arcades

However, my favorite systems for specs and time released and all would be the dreamcast, it runs at a ridiculous clock and can be overclocked easily beyond that, also, it has the ability to surpass the Black xbox, its only downfall was the lack of dvd format and the mass popularity it needed to may a slew of games, If only SEGA put the DVD on there, it may have lived... RIP SEGA DREAMCAST, you died far before your time...

System: N64. It introduced the world to 3D games that didn't suck like the PS1's games. Don't get me wrong, some of sony's games were fun, but the N64 took already great games, such as zelda and mario, and introduced an entirely new dimension to them. PS1...not so much.

Game (that I've played): Halo 2. Any FPS for that matter, but Halo 2 got it pretty good.
