No, go to www.movieadvance.com for downloads of firmware and such.
But first, try using this special emulator optimized for GBAMP. Eliminates size restrictions (woo, kirby and mario 3) and also supports save states. Just put it on your compactflash's root directory with all the .nes format games. Then when browsing games on the GBAMP SELECT THE EMULATOR FILE, NOT THE GAME YOU WANT, and a new menu will pop up, showing the games on your CF card. Those are what you select to play.

Hmm. The flash of white and black is good!. That means the emulator booted, but you should see a list of games against the black background. I don't think the emulator is detecting the games.

Make sure nothing is in any kind of subfolder. And did you just paste the .gba file on the card in the same form in which it was downloaded or didja use that funky rom builder that's required for gba flashcarting?
You aren't supposed to use the rom builder. Just put the .nes's on the card with the raw .gba and it should work.

If that's not the case, if you got your games in .zip folders, did you uncompress them? Try getting your games from a different source. I suggest (censored, read my PM) that's where I get mine and it works.

If this didn't solve anything. I assume you need to update the firmware. You'll just have to wait for the GBAMP support site go get back online.

took out everything but the pocketnes.gba and a EB0 Rom from *********.com still he same problem on the black screen theres no list of games. i guess i''ll have to wait for the firmware. i'm having portable obscure japanese prototype RPG cravings. i blame this all on sony... Lik-Sang was where the firmware was!
Edit: tested it with the e19 firmware update still nada

u havent mentioned this.. but in the older versions of pocketnes you just selected the game insider movieplayer's menu and it comes up.. that was when we could only use the smaller ones.. in the newer versions you open pocketnes.gba in the gbamp menu and then select your game from the pocketnes menu that comes up after..

I dont think this was mentioned but if your not doing this it wont work.. it actually would react similar to how your describing if you didn't do it that way..

good luck

tried the one from the website (Pocknes website) gave me white, then black screen and then just a bit of the top part of the screen was garbled,
on the website compatibility list it says
"Dynowarz [P] (v7a) great!
Earthbound zero [P] 256k PRG / 256k CHR V MMC3 (4)? (v7a) all great!
Edu [N] (v7a) nothing"

Flash/black/white, then garbling on the top is what happens to me when I select a game that doesn't fit into the GBA's memory. This shouldn't happen if from the gbamp's menu you select the .gba emulator, not the game.
