Today we found a Time Capsule buried by the Class of 1986. Inside we found an old 80's music cds, and some other 1337 80's stuff. One that really caught my attention, a stack of 5 1/2 inch floppys.
Most were corroded, but one that was in tip top shape had a game made by one of my old teachers. Its like an Infocom text adventure, but its about a high school teacher who must travel around a school fighting off students who have been enslaved by Alien creatures. Its really fun, for a text adventure.
To give this topic a point, have you ever made a Time Capsule and what did you put in it? Or Have you ever found one and what did you find in it?

My school had a time capsule from 1956 I think(not entirely sure of that year, it was old though) It had a bunch of stuff, some artwork the kids did, a bunch of school newspapers(from a different school(wtf) called The High Times(rofl)) A letter I think from someone, and a bunch of other stuff. Nothing really good in it, except for the laugh the school newspaper gave me.

I <3 time capsules! The idea of finding a stash of past culture is pretty awesome to me. I love '80's stuff from when I was born, so I hope to see one opened sometime. But so far I have yet to see one. What type of capsule is usually used? Just a sealed tupperware/thermos or something?
heh, my friend buried his old bike peg, only to dig it up a year later. The cloth he wrapped it in was disentegrated of course, but the peg survived and he put it back on his bike. Pointless, but fun anyways.

Thats what I thought at first too, it looked like it said he had buried his sister and her friends in a time capsule.NES_fanatic wrote:That sounds like homocide.wallydawg wrote:I buried one with my sisters and her friends a while back in the park across the street from my house. It's set to be opened up like in 2009 for some screw crazy year. I think I put a ninja turtle action figure in there...
In my elementary school, in the library, they had a large chest up on the top of the highest shelf. It said "Created by the 5th grade class of 1967, to be opened by the 5th grade class of 1997." Unfortunately I was out of elementary school before it was opened. To this day, I'm curious as to what was in there.
